Trained Lectors proclaim the Word of God in the first two Scripture passages at Mass.   The book from which they read is called the Lectionary.  Lectors at Sacred Heart Catholic Church are also called upon to read the Prayers of the Faithful  preceding the Offertory.   Anyone who desires to serve as a Lector, should contact Fr. Trask.
