Fr. Trask was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Cleveland in June of 1986. His assignments, prior to his arrival at Sacred Heart Parish in Oberlin, on 1 July 2018, include:

• Ss. Cosmas & Damian Parish, Twinsburg: 1986-1991
• Chanute AFB, Illinois (During Operation Desert Storm): 1991
• Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Cleveland: 1991-1996
• St. Peter, North Ridgeville: 1996-1997
• St. John Neumann, Strongsville: 1997-2000
• Our Lady of Guadalupe, Macedonia: 2000-2016
• St. Patrick, Wellington: 2016 – present
• Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Oberlin: 2018 – present
• Catholic Contract Chaplain at Lorain Correctional Institution in Grafton: 2021 – present

Fr. Trask is the 35th Pastor of Sacred Heart.  His assignment comes as the result of Fr. Robert Cole’s retirement in 2018.
